Digital key no longer available

For my new 45e which is about to be delivered, it wasn't possible to order Wireless Charging - which I won't miss at all.
But it seems that because of that also Digital key is no longer available. In the manual in the app Digital key isn't even mentioned.
I'll miss that cause I am used to use it from time to time.

Does anybody know whether Digital Key will available againg some time? Will there be any possibility to retrofit?

I just got mine yesterday, and like someone else had mentioned in one of the other threads, my digital key was in the visor. MY22.

Did you check your driver side visor?

I picked up a 21 G20 for my mom and it was stuck to the inside of the owner's manual, make sure you check there.

If you have a newer iPhone the digital key is somewhat useless, minus specific scenarios like going to the ocean without a phone or keys.

Digital key is the possibility to add a car key to your iphone/Apple watch wallet.
Key card is there but I don't think it is useful.
I like leaving the car for swimming etc. and use the apple watch as key. That's really cool. But without the possibility to connect the smartphone's NFC function it won't work.

there are few reports of owners without wireless charging that they still have NFC capability for Digital Key and digital key card.

The key card and digital key are still available on mine. Not being able to get wireless charging didn't affect that. There is still a pad to set your phone with the NFC.

I believe mellowman13 is under the impression that NFC capability for Digital Key/key card is lost with the deletion of the wireless charging tray. thanks for confirming it's not

Did you try to add the key to your Apple wallet? I’ve seen no reporting at all that this no longer works.

Digital Key should still be included. I thought I read somewhere that the "credit card" key was no longer coming with the cars (Apple Wallet Key Support still available), but when I picked up my 22 X5M there was a credit card key in the driver sun visor.

Still four weeks till I get the car. I just started to browse the manual (app) and didn't find anything about the digital key. Thank you for keeping my hope alive :-)

If you see the Digital Key tile in your app, then you have it. my wife's MY20 G30 doesn't support Digital Key so when I select her vehicle in the app, there's no Digital Key tile (unlike my G05 shown below.)

I have an iPhone and I DO have my digital key on it as well. Wireless charging deletion didn't affect that.

If you are referring to the wallet card, I got my car on Saturday and it came with it. Also I can open the car with my apple watch, then use the wallet card to start it.

This is awesome. I wear an Apple watch so I'll use that to get in and then I'll have the wallet card inside the magsafe wallet so when I put my phone down on that pad it should allow me to start the car. Turns into a huge benefit that it's not a wireless charger anymore because I wouldn't put my magsafe wallet against that.
