Boot waterfall!

Anyone else have this happen to them when it’s raining and you open the boot lid and the water then pours over the channel into the boot

Yes I have, it's a "feature".

It also does the same with snow, though snow is easier to wipe off before opening the boot. One thing to remember with show though is to clear the rear window too, otherwise when the boot hits the fully open stop, all the snow on the rear window then slides into the boot... guess how I found that out?

Lol, I actually called the dealer today as I thought this is ridiculous. Then when they phoned me back to book it in, I thought to myself this is a waste of time as there’s nothing they can do. The channel is clearly not deep enough, and as such has created the ‘feature’

Solved the problem, you have to run your fingers between the 2 seals and push the rubbers apart. There seems to be two pinch points either side, but once you move the rubbers apart there should be a gap of around 15-20mm. So when lifting the boot lid the water should now fall into the gap rather than across the rubbers into the boot
