initially just taped, but the sides came up and realized it wasn't going to hold and adhere well with the ppf, so removed a section of the ppf and glued with double sided tape onto the car it self

I just found out this can be a port installed option on new build. They didn't say anything about having to have front carbon splitters. Anyone have a pic of front carbon splitters on BSM color M5

This looks like it would create more downforce - but is it needed.
It seems quite aggressive and I would like to see wind tunnel testing of the before and after. Kinda seems to me would be counter productive. |

I’m getting both spoiler and splitters installed by my dealership, however my service advisor says he has no idea what I’m talking about when I mentioned the coding aspect. Anyone have any details I can pass along?

There is discussion in this thread that implies/states that if you get front and rear M aero installed, you can/should get coding changes made to the traction control system to reflect the (slightly) higher downforce. At least I think that's what earlier posts were saying.

Grrrr!! After 6 days at the dealer (looking at sensor issue, installing front splitters and rear spoiler), I was told to come pick it up only to find that they never got in the glue so they never installed the rear spoiler, and then discovered the sensor issue came back 1 mile away so I turned around and brought it back (with a lot of frustration). So still no rear spoiler for me

Double sided tape too. 3M Urethane adhesive is good choice Cleans up pretty well with alcohol and is semi-permanent. It dose have full day cure time dough.

It is almost permanent solution. It may comes off when you try to remove it, just cleaning up the residues will be a bitch.
