Halogen options

Unfortunately I didn't order my e90 with xennons. Kind of regret it but I was on a budget. So my question is, what are my options for this? I would love to have the angel eyes, but I've read it's not possible. Can an 2006 e90 xennon headlamp fit on the 2007? Any other options for this?

For the Halogens itself, any way to get them brighter? HID's?

I'm just a bit confused and needed some direction.

Here are the Euro xenons.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...QQcmdZViewItem

I've searched around a bit and know that it is possible to put these in and basically do a complete swap. My question is, is there anything i would need besides this? Any kind of wiring? Anyone know how difficult this job is?

Thanks for the help!

I swaped out to the euro HALOGENS..not as $$$ as the xenons. Check with member ADHD he was selling them.. then i swaped the bulbs for silverstar bright whites... big difference...now all i have to do is swap the fog lights out...soon on that!!!

if the main reason why you opted for halogens in the first place was because of your budget, getting retrofit OEM xenons will be 1.5 - 2X $$$ than what it would've cost you if you opted for it from the factory

the most cost effect alternative I can think of is to get brighter halogens like Sylvania silverstars

Don't get crappy blue-tinted halogen lightbulbs, and definitely don't get aftermarket HID ballast, since your halogen housing wasn't design to reflect the intensive HID lights

GL with your endeavor

Thanks for the advice. Yea i was researching late last night and figured not to do the HID upgrade. For now, some brighter haolgen bulbs will work. And no i hate the blue ones that people put on their car. Just not my style i guess.

Anyways, I'm just going to wait for some euros to come in from ADHD and see then.

Thanks!

Why dont you want an HID conversion? i think Jlevi sells one for like 300$ and its like a kit so you wont burn your harness.

are OEM really that expensive, i was under the impression that it wasn't that much. it is a 800 dollar option, hard to imagine it would be that much more ordering after the fact.

if you are doing euros, you might as well go for HIDs, i don't think its worth it to pay a couple hundred for no amber on the side. just my two cents. good luck

i heard the HID's don't look right from what i researched. Something like it disapates the light dramatically. Can anyone confirm this?

Plus I really do like the angel eyes. If someone finds a way to keep the angel eyes on while driving that'd be fukintastic!

read my post above ^

the halogen housing is not designed to house the bright xenon headlights, if you get an aftermarket ballast and stick it in, the light will dispersed too much, you'll pretty much have 2 flood lights as your headlight

Thanks for the help guys! I think I'm going to get some upgraded h7's for now and wait for a set of xenon headlamps to come in. From there, i'll do the fogs after.

I am also thinking about upgrading to whiter/brighter bulb. The DIY might be useful for me then...
