Stretched Look 295/35 on 11” Wheel
Why is it every single picture I see of a Michelin pilot 4S 295/35ZR20 or 295/35ZR21 on an 11” wheel looks stretched? Can anyone show me ann example of that not happening? Why wouldn’t/couldn’t you put a 295/35 on a 10.5” wheel? That certainly would eliminate any stretched look right?

I have 285/35/20 on my 11.0” rears. They look a little stretched. 295 would be better. I have to think about whether to go 295 or 305. My concern is not so much cosmetics but handling, ride, and rim protection.

I appreciate your response. My concern is about all four. Cosmetics, handling, ride and rim protection. Although I’m my own best rim protection. I’m pretty careful when parking. I’m definitely thinking of going with 295s. From the very little bit I have read and seen on this forum most everyone says 305s are too big. Besides if you go with 305s in the back you have to go with 295s in the front. Honestly, I think I would like to just get HREs P101s that are the exact spec as factory wheels with the exception of offset. However, I was told that HRE highly recommends not using 9.5 inch wheels in the front for the M5. What do you know about this? Would it be OK to go with factory size HRE P101s 20X9.5 F and 20X10.5 R? Then I could stick with BMW, Michelin star tires. We already know those look good and will satisfy my other three concerns.

I have 295 PS4S on 20x11 rear wheels and they don't look stretched at all. Acceptable range for that width is 295-315 I believe. I've had 11" wheels on other cars before and usually ran 305 and sometimes 315. This is my first time with a 295 and it looks fine. On 12" which I had on one car in the past I step up to 325

Thank you brother. I appreciate your help. So it’s basically like you have a 6 mm spacer on the front and a 4 mm spacer on the back if you had been using stock wheels. I think the back wheels and tires on your car absolutely does not look stretched. It looks great. And I also think I like the offset you used. Are you happy with the front and how far they come out? Lots of forum members are adding 12mm or even 15mm to what stock wheels were.

I knew the offset has nothing to do with possible tire stretch. I basically was asking two completely different questions. One about offset and one about stretch. I agree with you about polk. I don’t like it either. Once again, thank you for getting back to me.
