For owners: Road Noise?

I'm getting old I guess because the one thing that drives me bonkers in my M3 is the amount of road noise that is transferred in to the car on the highway. I use long highway drives to catch up on phone calls and unless it's a perfectly smooth highway the M3 is loud. Has anybody had both that could comment on the F90s highway noise levels?
Thanks

From M2 to M5 is a huge improvement. I did not code out the fake engine sound yet, but plan to this week. After doing that on the M2 it was MUCH better when just cruising down the highway.

The M5 is so much quieter, hit the cruise control, turn off the extra engine sound (switch in center console) and it's very quiet. In fact with the moonroof open I have yet to find a speed at which the car has a vibration sound even with the windows all closed.

Speaking on the phone at 75 is not a problem.
