If I do get a 1M, the 135 will be sold and I'll keep my WRX. I do keep tossing around the idea of keeping both the 135 and WRX and adding another car later like a Z4 M Coupe, E39 M5, classic 911, etc. The list goes on and on.

1M when it comes will be my DD, selling the 135i and keeping the CaymanS for at least another year.

My Year 1 of the 1 SGM will sadly need to move over for Ms. Valencia...

Will always love it and probably miss it, but it's one of these things that you gotta move on. Only 9K miles on the odometer, new owner will be happy. So will begin to take offers soon I just knock on wood the 1 ///M will be as reliable (never had issues, HPFP or otherwise).

I am in the same boat as you. 2008 SGM 135i. Thinking of trading for a 1M. Trade value looks to be around 20 - 21 K. I have HK, heated seats. Terracotta leather, Sport package, usb ipod and comfort access. It has 40,000 K.

I think the reason you have not had issues is only 9,000 miles..

getting a replacement engine for my volvo s60R and keep it

in winter i would not be able to reach my house with a rwd bmw most of the time

besides i like the volvo which has always been underestimated by many "competitors" on the road - and i would miss the brilliant dynaudio stereo

I'm trading my 2002 e46 M3 and keeping my Z3 3.0 for topdown fun when my son finishes repairing it. I got hit in Oct and he fixing it for me. It has only 45000 miles. The 1m will be my daily driver unless snow tires are not enough and it is too scary. My m3 have done quite well so I expect it will be ok.2 cars for 1 person is quite enough. My son plans to do preventative rust stuff and each year tackle problems.

If I can actually get a 1M.. it will likely end my 17 year love affair with the E30 M3 as a weekend/track car....
A Subaru Legacy GT and a Ford Expedition round out the daily driving and track towing duties.. although with fuel on the rise, the Expedition may not be needed either with a street legal 1M as track car

Sold my current car already, actually much faster than I thought. 2007 Audi RS4. (that car was the bomb) Now I'm waiting for the allocation and driving my wifes new Fiesta which is a heck of a lot more fun to drive than you would think.

Planning on adding snow tires and driving the 1M through the winter.

I have been asking myself the same question time & time again. I think at the end of the day as I mainly work from home I will PX existing 118D and use every oppotunity I get to drive to drive the 1M. I'm hoping that the LSD will give better traction in snow than the 118D if I get caught out in bad weather but I'm not really sure about that.

will be keeping my 2004 wrx STI ...she's never seen winter as we used my girlfreind's vw r32 and my company pickup truck during winters.....i bought the suby when i was 25 after saving for two years and i love it!!! it has been protuned with cobb access port and has a short shifter and poly-e bushings and prodrive springs....stiffer swaybars and endlinks...she's ugly, she's noisy, she's expensive to upkeep but i have rarely trailed in many a freindly acceleration spree since i own her....

maybe even strip it completely - with just one carbon recaro left -then tint the windows - and get a 400hp engine

I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do yet, but I'm probably going to keep my current car. I drive a lot every year and don't want to put too many miles on the 1M (almost 15k a year), so I could spread the miles out between them.

I'll be trading in my 135i for the 1M, I used to have two cars (Z4 Coupe and Focus ST) but spent most of the time in the Z4 so the money for taxing the other one was just wasted.
