Ordering ‘21 M5 Competition Soon

My F85 lease ends in September so I’m in the process of building an F90 Comp. w/ my CA.

This will be my fourth BMW and I’ve never been back and fourth so much on colors.

I’m seriously considering Lemans Blue but also like Marina Bay Blue. I had Lemans on my E90 years ago and that to me is a true/ royal type blue. Where Marina Bay Blue is darker w/ some purple hues.

I haven’t seen any great comparison pics online but am now wondering if the Lemans Blue is drastically different enough to justify the $5k charge. Any thoughts here??

Off topic: I REALLY want Speed Yellow or even Dakar Yellow but the fiancée said “NO”

I’m still trying though.

Another interesting note, I checked into a two tone Lemans/ Black interior (like the E39 days). I was quoted an additional $30k and 6 month lead time.

I just got the Marina Bay blue. It’s an awesome color and pretty close to San Marino Blue. So if you like SMB you’ll love MBB.

i wouldn't spend 5k to get a bmw blue. Go big or go home. do the yellow.

I agree. Is it your car or your fiancee's? Man it up and get what You want, after all this is a $100K purchase, why settle?

Can't argue this, I've all but abandoned the idea of Lemans now.

I fully agree and am right there with you. My 4th ///M and to be frank she doesn't even want me to get another. With us getting married and co-mingling stuff a bit now, I'm feeling "lucky" she's cool w/ the purchase ("cool" because I put my foot down). Don't want to press
too hard on the yellow but I still ask weekly.

Nothing would stop me from just showing up w/ it but...

My 03 is LeMans. 19 is MBB (granted frozen)
Generally speaking Marina Bay Blue looks a little bit more Saturated compared to Lemans. Both are dark blues but not as dark as say, Tanzinite blue. Amount of metallic flakes appear similar. LeMans looks deeper (If not a tiny bit darker)..

Difference is there when compare side by side. Some difference could also be due to age and the difference in finish. Just my observation of them

Thanks for posting BMWCAT, the two are closer than I thought.

F90 is HUGE compared to the E39 but we knew that.

NICE looking E39 btw, brought me to the ///M brand years ago.

Does BMW offer any sort of black satin color? Or would you be better off just getting it wrapped?

You can create a frozen black by having Black Sapphire Metallic wrapped with Xpel Stealth.

I have seen this on a 911 and it looks very good and is easy to maintain.
