I swear the captain of the boat was just floating around the Atlantic Ocean for an extra week.

However, once it hit port in Baltimore, it went very quickly from there. Processed through VPC, on a transport trailer and at my dealer in Nebraska by 3/16.

Hopefully your car gets on a boat ASAP.

My experience had my car waiting for 14 days at Bremerhaven before being in transit on a ship. The My BMW site told me it left Bremerhaven on 3/27 and is expected in Baltimore on 4/6. When I go to the marine traffic site it gives me the same arrival date for the ship it's on. BUT, it's 6,310 km from Bremerhaven to Baltimore, and the average speed of those ships is about 16 knots. That tells me it will take around 16 days to make the journey. So..... I'm expecting the arrival date to change at some point, but will be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong. For the currently predicted transit time to be correct the ship would have to average 26 knots, and I don't think that's possible.

I tracked my ship on marine traffic and was very surprised by the route it took. Instead of going in a generally straight line from Bremerhaven to Baltimore, my boat (Glovis Cosmos) went south around France, past Spain and stayed along the coast all the way to Morocco...then turned West and went in a staight line past Bermuda and then NW up to Baltimore. Not a reasonably direct line at all. Not sure if that is how the currents this time of the year dictated direction...but either way that route added a solid 7 days.

The last posted location for the NOCC Oceanic is the mid north Atlantic, on a pretty direct course for Baltimore, so I'm optimistic. It did drop further south than a straight line, but currents probably make that a more profitable course.

Thanks for the info and well-wishes bud. Has been 8 days I think. Fingers crossed.

The arrival time seems to shift, mine is still on Saturday the 6th according to marine traffic, but Genius is probably more up to date. I'm actually expecting more of a delay into next week, but we'll see. Soon in any case!

Now there is some progress! When did you receive your production number again? I’m anticipating week 20 scheduled production (2 weeks behind you) and also incurred pushed production due to special paint. This is going way too slow a process

my production number was given right away, like 2 days after i put the order in. Ask your salesman for it. Then you can track it online if you so choose. What color are you doing?

I instantly received production number as well. I was trying to get an idea of time line between receiving production number and MY BMW updating to show "scheduled for production" date!

Thanks

I'm now on status code 193 ... hoping to get it for Easter but I'm thinking it will be a week after that.

Production started around 3/25-26 and now it says 'dispatched from factory.' Does that mean it is at port?

In MY BMW the next status update for you will be “at port.” If you run your cursor over the long succession of dots it gives you what each update is. I imagine your car is on a train to Bremerhaven !
