maintenance question
I need to take my '19m5 in for annual service in a few weeks. I am out of warranty for maintenance and the job will cost around ~1k according to SA for inspection, mircofilter, oil service, coolant flush.
I inquired about a maintenance plan as well. 2 yr plan around 3400. Car is my DD but only have ~25K miles. My question is about cost of service in yrs to come. Will be at the 5yr mark next year and is the cost of service at 5 yrs enough to justify the additional 2.4K that I would be paying for the plan? (3.4K-1K for this year) thanks |

Other than that I would assume hell no. Only thing left should be one oil and brake fluid. Maybe spark plugs. How many miles do you average? Have they already done them? Some I hear at 30k miles but my dealer did mine last service and i had under 20k miles.

BMW does not do much maintenance anymore. Their plan will cover only the minimum in the manual. No trans fluid change, for example. Take the money you would give to them for their overpriced minimal work and spend it on proper maintenance at a good independent shop if there is one in your area.
