Which tires?

I'm looking to replace the BS runflat tires that came stock on my 335 with some non-RFT. I have zsp, so that means I've got the 18" staggered rims, and I don't plan on replacing the rims.

I do take my car to HPDE 2-3 times per year, so I need the tires to do double duty -- both as a daily driver and track toy.

My first thoughts are either the Dunlop Z1 or Hankook V12. Both do well in testing, and both are reasonably priced. PS2s seem to have quite the following here, but they cost almost twice as much as the Hankooks.

Anyone else have any recommendations?

If you don't mind a bit more road noise, the Z1 Star Spec will be the way to go, especially for the price. The V12 and PS2 are a bit quieter and slightly softer riding but not quite as fun on the track.

Thanks Gary. I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that my choice in the Z1 Star Specs are the way to go.

I've heard good things about Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta, but I think these are more strickly for the street and might not be great on the track.

I've decided on the Z1 Star Specs. What are the drawbacks to running a 235 up front instead of the stock 225? This is on a stock 162 wheel with active steering.
