Just buy one direct from Racechip should come in 2 days - luckily on the M5 both ports in the engine bay are easy to get to so maybe 10 mins max to install.

If I drive mine without it turned on its a different animal.

It does depend on your driving style - I live in the sticks and on the back roads it's a massive improvement.

If you don't tend to drive it hard it may not be worth it.

Lol Surely not a serious post ...firstly because there's not hundreds of users on here with F90 M5s let alone chipped and have had warranty work done

And secondly very tame without it Should have took yours back mate to see what was up with it before invalidating your warranty

Ha I can see your not keen on mapping - tbf most people don't mind taking the risk with a chip or map. You don't buy a 90k car if your worried about "maybe" having to pay for some out of warranty work, and judging by the feedback on the forums its pretty fucking rare!

We should also note to OP that evolve etc offer flash maps that they can remove before going into stealers. A piggy is not the only option. But either way it's 100% needed imo.

Each to their own re tuning, remember this, Id prefer not to mess around with a factory fresh car and leave it as BMW intended it to be, may be once its a few years old

Remember this ??

No PCP etc if I was I wouldn’t risk the map. I’ve had the E60 M5 and the F10 M5 so looking forward to the F90 M5C. I will see how the drive is and if I think I want more power I will defo consider a chip etc. It’s a 69 plate built early 19 so I hope it had the crackles and pops lol. If not then the map will be a must for me!!

Yeah, one thing that helps is unplugging the flap system at the back of the exhaust, it's a 10 min job but helps with the sound.

Strange, I find its much louder on start-up and general driving - you do get a tiny bit of drone. its not uncommon for the flaps to get stuck on these cars either.

BMW are totally within their rights. It's exactly what I would do. Say someone rented your house but they then turn it into a nightclub but still wanted you to fix everything under the original agreement like fixing the toilet when now there's 100 ppl abusing it every night.

It’s sphire black with 2000 mls on the clock. It was a ex demo car so has pretty much all the options. Apart from B&W sound system CCBs.

Anything I should look out for when collecting etc. I’m hoping to get it in to my local detailing company when I get it. I assume I will have to get a paint correction done on it... not entirely sure as I’ve not seen it yet.
I will probably go for a ceramic coat and PPF and some kind of protection on the white interior.

Can’t wait to tbh....s
I tried to buy this car but by the time PL got back to me, I was informed that the car was sold.

If it has Pirelli tyres then consider Michelin Pilot Sport 4s as the Pirelli are awful, maybe a bit kinder on an F90 but on an F10 they are dangerous

LooL nice that will explain the stone chips on the front I just had to have fixed before the PPF.
I’m probably going to chop it in soon for the facelift version. Probably put an order in December time. Delivery for March hopefully. I can’t see the next gen M5 coming out until probably 2024/25 now.

A facelift with the specs of your current car is going to be expensive I think you're winning at the moment. You got the highest spec comp for a really good price.

Yes you are right I did get it for a good price. But just little things like the I drive 7 and the B&W sound system is what I’m missing. I have that in my X7 so when I hear the HK in the Comp it doesn’t compare. I will see if I can get a good deal on the facelift comp end of the year.

Personally I think B&W is overrated it doesn't sound great in my opinion HK works well for me. I am about to spend that extra ££ on a akrapovic exhaust which sounds way better 🤣
