Vorsteiner's Quality Control Sucks
Look at this NEW diffuser ... Is it suppose to be like that or it is just me ?
Vorsteiner asked to remove those pictures. They are taking care of this issue . Last edited by doba_s; 02-06-2009 at 04:41 PM.. |

Contact Vorsteiner and ask for a replacement since they claimed they spend so much on quality control ..etc.
You should get what you paid for right? 3x the cost of a rep. |

Ouch! good luck with that. Why didn't u contact them instead of posting this? Should have given them a chance to respond first imo. Where are the vorsteiner fanboys at? Although it looks like I might have to go with their trunk.

I don't see why you're bugging over those tiny scratches, but the lack of holes in the second diffuser is ridiculous.

I can understand his position. When you pay the kind of money that Vorsteiner commands, you expect a better product. I've seen replica parts (..and parts made by lesser known companies) with a lesser amount of defects than that expensive Vorsteiner piece. I'm sure many people will agree.

I honestly think Vorsteiner is crap and is replica quality. and taking advantage of bmw owners coz they can afford the shit
but... 1. ur statement that you dont have time to call and want THEM to call u is very dumb, IMHO. with all due respect 2. why would u install if u dont like the product?? 3. why did u post a thread before trying to reach a resolution with them? that's kind of a low blow |

I have always seen their products as overpriced and low quality. I know they have always had a lot of fitment issues, this was specially true for E46 parts.

I've never seen any aftermarket body part for a car look perfect straight out of the box. But like I said, the lack of holes in that second diffuser is really bad.

I would say that you shoulda contacted them first before putting it on. Now, they can say that you may have scratched it or something. Either way, hope it works out for ya

How long would you expect a diffuser not to get any scratches once it's on the car? I always seem to get scratches on the bottom of the car in both front and back after less than a month it seems. A better first investment for me would be to get metal or plastic shields for the bottom of the bumpers. I do feel for ya; I'd expect perfection too at the asking price.
Mantis, There have been threads about the fit of the hood. It seems that this can be easily fixed. I would not have expected that in a $60K - $70K car either, but at least it's fix-able. Dealers should check this during prep.

I can't believe this guy is waiting for a vendor to contact him. On the other hand, I bet vendors love people like me. You guys seem so overly critical of aftermarket parts. lol. Either I'm completely oblivious to imperfections or I've just been lucky, but I have been nothing but happy with all of my Vorsteiner products. Like the other guy said, even my M3 isn't perfect. I am waiting for BMW to contact me regarding the uneven shut lines in my hood. In any case, I hope you get it sorted out. You should at least be happy with what you get after paying what you did. I just don't see why you installed it before raising the issue. |
