If you're into tool watches, check out the Tudor Pelagos. It's a bit over your budget, but comes with both titanium and rubber straps. Tudor is owned by Rolex.

Check out the Omega Sea Master Aqua Terra. Very nice rubber bands with clasp. A little over your budget, but well worth it.

Maybe not the best place for this, but any of you connoisseurs have thoughts on this Bulgari piece? I checked it out in person while purchasing a bag for my wife and liked it quite a bit, but despite its Swiss underpinnings Bulgari is not really known for timepieces... it does sport the thinnest automatic movement/case and looks pretty cool IMO!

Mixed feelings. Gerald Genta inspired watches are generally well thought of. I own and have owned numerous examples from the Patek Nautilus to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. With that said, I don't personally view Bulgari as a watch company. I think of them first as a jewelry company, like Cartier, for example.

In short, I would respect it if I saw someone wearing one. I would not buy one myself.

Agreed. Jewelry company first. And for that price I can think of a few other watches that I would go for first.

Appreciate the thoughts (genuinely! A lot of you guys with serious pieces know your stuff) no question that Bulgari is a jewelry company. All the same, it is a technically interesting watch that just lacks the provenance/cache of traditional watch brands. I'm not any kind of serious watch collector, so my interest is more in the technical aspects of the movement and design more so than brand heritage or heirloom potential. The price range is in the crowded mid-market space, so for sure plenty of options... if I wind up grabbing one as a unique style piece I'll post it for due ridicule 😂. I'll redeem myself with a gold day-date for my 40th in a couple years.

Love that......have been really impressed with the Rolex models on the Oyster Flex. I have been eyeing up the matte black Yachtmaster on the Oyster Flex.

Every time I get interested in the ceramic Octo again, I'm reminded there's no micro adjust like Rolex Glidelock's 2mm adjusts, or Vacheron Constantin Overseas's two 2.3mm pull outs.
Bvlgari, and others, need to consider normal wrist swelling during a typical day.
