Honestly, infotainment system/climate control opinions aside, was unimpressed by this review. I thought it seemed rushed from their end and they seemed underwhelmed, despite really enjoying the pre-lci version. Not sure what they mean by driving dynamics felt worse on the LCI, doesn‘t really add up with what others have said.
Also, again another reviewer not knowing that if you hit up on the idrive controller it will give you the menu with the shortcuts (that I believe you can then also select the shortcut with the idrive controller). No touch input required. Still not nearly as elegant as the physical shortcut row, but you can do most things with the controller still. |

For many owners of the pre LCI like myself. I was not blown over by the new LCI. Many of the so called improvements / updates I didn’t think were really improvements. I stated that in a previous post. Chances are I will be buying my current one at the end of the lease. Would be interesting to know what others think.

For someone like me, who is coming from an older gen entirely, the LCI probably makes sense. If one is already driving a G20 pre-LCI, it doesn't appear to me like there would be a reason to ditch the pre-LCI unless you really want the new idrive. LCI's are usually about BMW trying to entice those on older gens to upgrade, rather than get current gen owners to upgrade from pre to post LCI. |

I think not knowing the name of the interior color was pretty lame and felt in line with the rest of the review. I usually like these two. Although I did learn about the sprint mode feature through their video!

I think they expressed my thoughts almost exactly. Not a fan of the new lower grill and how it looks more drawn out. Hate the new toggle instead of a shifter and also dislike getting rid of the physical memory buttons and climate control buttons. Lastly, not a fan of the huge iPad like display planted on top of the dashboard. The pre-LCI cowl with separate gauges and a well integrated central display just look and flows much better to my eyes.

I have not taken delivery yet, but everything you said aligns with my pre-delivery opinion lol. I'm coming from a 2014 F31 so the LCI feels like a big and welcome upgrade, especially for idrive. BMW discontinued a lot of mobile broadband support for the F31 which made me envy newer idrive models. |
