They say you shouldn't meet your heroes...
Well, it finally happened. Since 1999, the M5 has been my car hero and I have worked and positioned myself since to one day meet her. Last week was that fateful day. I met my hero and that saying couldn't be farther from the truth. This is not just a car to me, it's a culmination of hard work, sacrifices, and faith. When I made the decision that it was finally time to look for my M5 I was overwhelmed, not with the car itself as I know this car inside and out, but with the idea/stress of finding the "perfect" spec. Then she appeared, a 2020 Donington Great over full Argo with all of the packages (less CCB) F90 at my local dealership. Everything just fell into place like it was supposed to. The spec was perfect, I didn't have to travel to it, I didn't have to worry about shipping, and the price was perfect. I was able to get a great deal on this beauty and the past week has been full of "pinch me" moments. I've read every article and seen every video on the F90 about its blend of luxury and performance, but HOLY COW until you experience the pull of this engine you just have no idea. My last 5 cars have been BMW's with the F10 550 being the most powerful. This car is night and day different than any BMW experience I've ever had. Needless to say the first tank of gas did not last long. I can now say that we have the perfect garage, 2020 X7 M-Sport and this M5. So, don't let anyone tell you not to meet your heroes as they might just surprise you and change your life. Happy driving my friends, I am happy to finally be a part of the family.

Completely agree! The M5 was always the car I truly wanted, I just made up reasons to settle for something else. Finally bit the bullet last year and couldn't be happier.
Aragon Brown is the best interior, mine has it as well. |

Completely resonates! I was a kid, in 1984 when the first M5 was introduced to the world. First hand witnessed the awesome madness that came about with the 4-door family sedan in the E28. I was hooked. Didn’t really matter about all the other cars I was into then, as there was something about an M5 that just stuck.
And here we are.

Congratulations. A friend of mine bought one in 1997, and ever since then it has been my dream car. I’ve also owned a lot of BMWs, but finally got my ‘23 Comp at the end of last year, and couldn’t be happier. You’re absolutely right that nothing comes close, in terms of driving experience.
