Anyone know how the secure the vehicles to the ship?

They must have a lot of workers to load cars on.

It's just a giant enclosed parking lot. They should be secured with the tow bars in the bumpers. They just drive the cars on.

Official cutoff deadline for the car booked and accepted at the port was noon on the 28th so given that it doesn't depart until 6/1, I'm hoping you don't mean that it arrived to port today.

Also, if you don't make this one, there are other ships that may be sooner than 16 days from now. They do use other shipping lines for west coast such as NYK. This is just the only one I know of that offers worthwhile tracking with you vin number.

We will see as I am not sure when it arrived at port. As the 1800 says in transit to port but yesterday the lady on the phone said it was at port.

are you having any port installed extra's? I heard that if you car has extra things installed at the port this is why it taking longer. But i think if you don't' have anything extra to be installed it should be trucked out to your dealer.
My Salesperson said my car would be at the dealer in 2 weeks which would say about a week and a half once it has hit NY port. For my car that's this Wednesday for port and then next Friday is when my salesperson said it should be at the dealer.

Got the same call from my salesmen as well. Arrival in CT for June 12th or 13th.

Also on a side note. It said in the W&W site showed that the car was booked on fedora 5/21/14. That was before the car was even finished. I guess that's why my car arrived at port after the cutoff and still made it on.

Me too! Looks like our cars will be shipmates together.

I did ED, and then dropped the car off in Munich on the 26th. It probably made it to Bremerhaven on the 27th or early 28th. I was told at drop-off that it would take a full week of prep at the port... Yesterday, put my VIN in and was surprised it made it on the FEDORA, leaving 6/1. I originally had thought my car would have had to wait at Bremerhaven for 13 days until the next WW ship, MIGNON, departed. I did, however, make my drop-off reservation a month in advance. Someone mentioned, other than WW, that NYK also does west coast shipments? Anyone know what other lines BMW uses for shipping? I tried looking up NYK schedules just now and none goes from Bremerhaven to Port Hueneme. Is there another west coast port that NYK ships to? It's not to Long Beach either. Or maybe a different shipping line all together then?

Actually, looks like my car "arrived at terminal" on the 30th, but the voyage was actually booked on the 28th, 9AM. Maybe it had to be prepped a few days outside the "terminal"? Or the truck got the car to the port on the 30th, and then got prepped in time for the voyage? I think the latter sounds somewhat impossible. Anyhow, I'm just glad I'm on the ship.
