New M5 purchase - questions on aftermarket parts

Hi everyone! I just returned my M3 comp and upgraded to a 2020 f90 M5. I'm absolutely in love with this beast, the way it drives, oh man....

The car is black sapphire metallic, Aragon brown and black two tone full merino leather interior, executive package, driving assistance plus, 20" black 706M wheels, M performance exhaust w/ Carbon Fiber tips, carbon fiber side grilles, carbon fiber kidney grilles, and I guess it's standard to have the rear diffuser paint matched? I bought a black M5 emblem and paint matched front bumper reflectors, and it has the standard spoiler lip on rear trunk, and that's it for now.

My questions....

I don't want to spend a ton on aftermarket, and the car is already amazing, but if I were to spend let's say 5k total, and my options are below, what order would you prioritize my list:

Clear bra bumper and mirrors, c quartz clear coat entire car
MSR intake
M Performance Rear diffuser
M performance Rear spoiler
BM3 (shhhh) "just kidding"

There is really nothing else I need, so is it worth changing the already nice rear diffuser that I think stands out with CF, or no? I also don't think I love the CF spoiler, but let me know what you guys think. Pics attached!

At least get the M performance carbon pro spoiler, without it the rear just doesn't look the business. The m performance carbon rear diffuser design is nice as well. I would definitely ppf from new, also consider getting replacement paddle shifters as the oem tiny plastic little things are awful. I got a set of carbon fiber ones from autotecknic.

single most important thing you need is springs. definitely will change the entire look of the car. And H&R 550i springs will do it.

Springs for sure like Trevor said. They are cheap too. The M rear spoiler is a must for me and a Remus exhaust. I happen to have one for sale here in So Cal too btw

Springs and throw in some spacers while you're at it. I like the CF Spoiler and Rear Center diffuser as well .. Some nice options that are not M Perf.

I would suggest the M Performance CF side skirts, too. They not only look great but they do a good job of keeping road debris from chipping your rocker panels. They're a very easy self-install, provided you have two jacks to elevate one side at a time.

Thanks! I can't decide on the carbon diffuser, because they have the RKP and the M perf, I can't decide which I like best. I also like the regular m perf CF spoiler but it looks the same as what I have now, so maybe the m perf pro spoiler.....

I'm leaving my M perf exhaust of course, added paint matched reflectors, black emblem.

I will probably add the MSR intake, it sounds unreal on the V8s. I had it on my M6 and it was unreal.

If I add side skirts, spoiler, and diffuser, I already have the CF exhaust, side grilles and kidneys, it may be like 5k and this is a lease, so I'm trying to be somewhat logical about this.

Doesn't it screw up the already amazing suspension if I add cheap springs? I know lowering will look better, but I actually think it allows you to use the sport plus etc as long as you don't change the actual coils.

Which spoiler? Regular CF lip or the pro? I wish they have the same spoiler as the M3/4 it looks more clean, less bulky. Do you have a picture of yours on the car?

I'm pleased with the springs .. originally went with KW HAS and was not happy with that set-up so I went with the H&R's and I've been pleased with these. You retain dampening so still some adjustability to suit your needs.

The springs feel OEM with better stance and less body roll.

M pro for sure. I like the autotechnic one. It looks like the M pro but sits on top vice along the back edge.

How am I suppose to look at your car and now buy 10 mods now?
Love the HRE wheels!

So here is my plan, let me know what you think:

I currently have: M performance Exhaust w CF tips, paint matched front reflectors, rear reflectors replaced by gloss black honeycomb, M perf CF paddles, gloss black emblem, leaving my stock black 20s and blue calipers (if not I will keep going until I spend 30k on a lease), CF m performance kidney grilles, and side grilles.

I am considering: M performance CF diffuser, pro spoiler, carbon fiber mirror caps, shift knob surround and steering wheel insert, plus MSR intake. Would you skip any of those? If I do these, I'll have every possible CF part, but it's about 8-9K for exterior / interior mods that improve the look.... I guess I can always sell the mods after in 3 years....

Just ordered the M performance CF paddles, good call. I may get the pro spoiler and diffuser from M perf, but I can't decide if I should do the CF mirrors, interior trim pieces, etc.

I'm not sold on the M peformance carbon paddles, I'm pretty sure the rear (the part that you actually touch) of the paddles are still plastic, which is absolutely awful especially when they cost $400. Not to mention the size of them don't change at all from OEM, which is another downside. Autotecknic ones are great-fully carbon fiber and longer, it gives the interior a nice upgrade. It should've came like that OEM, can you believe BMW is putting tiny plastic paddles that you find in every single BMW in M5s, M8s etc? Unbelievable.

I went for the full leather package inside but it's not necessary to be honest. The only other interior upgrades I did was a ceramic controller wheel and paddle shifters and those really aren't necessary either.

My car had every single option except rear entertainment and night vision. I think a lot of the interior upgrades that you have listed you can go without and save money. The stock interior is very nice!

As far as stuff your ordered with the car I like them all. You can even go without CF mirrors especially on a dark colored car. I would spend that money on the side skirts instead. I wasn't going to do them but once I saw them on the car in person it really made a huge difference.

I think full leather is almost a must in this car, having soft-touch plastic on the dashboard and etc. just doesn't cut it in this car. It really gives the interior an additional level of luxury. Ceramic controls are also a very nice touch-they're included in the premium pack on mine, but I see a lot of US M5s basically fully loaded without ceramic controls, which I think is odd.
