People keep bashing the aggressiveness, or lack thereof, on the M5. This isn't an M3 or M4.....where the target driver is some 20 year old kid. This is an executive business sleeper sedan. That's the point. It's why I feel some colors of the M5 Comp have just too much going on with all the black pieces (like alpine white)......it just looks too "modded" or too M3 "targeted".
The sleeper sedan is called the M550i...nothing should be sleepy about spending $120k on an M! Lol my X5 50i with over 550hp (with a chip) is a sleeper groceries getter. But the X5M is no sleeper! It's aggressive and means business and warrants the cost/exclusivity. Just doesn't show it with the front bumper or hood. Get some. At least with the competition. I think there should be more difference between the base M5 and the M5C to start.

So when do we get to see other color combos... really curious what the new tails look like on a black car.

BMW now offers flat buttom steering wheels at least for my F80C. And some damn good looking steering wheels as options for this M5 - all M Performance...

Wow
Not in the world where I'am living...
Agree! I gave myself an M3 F80C in the very individual color Maldives Blue and blasted it with 14 optional carbon parts from M Performance. I could have gone w this M5, but the M3 is not so heavy, more aggressive, as roomy inside as an older M5 and cheaper to maintain. Did I mention it was a gift from me to me - when I turned 50? Could never afford this new at age 20,25 or 30. Just my humble view...

They've somehow made it look even less aggressive to me. I think the facelift looks awful.

I'd even say that only now, at 48, I could consider it. Until now, master studies, mortgages, kids, swimming pool in the garden, game computers and ski and summer vacations (almost) consumed it all.

So seriously - does the base model also get the new suspension from m8 or is that for the competition only?

I agree with some folks here regarding the new front and tail lights as they are not "very" BMW to me and looks more like an Audi/ VW especially the front lights. I also not a big fan they got rid of the steering, suspension and engine quick little buttons by the shifter and replaced them by a setup button which I already have that on the current one. Not sure if it was too confusing for some or what, I do like having them right there and not having to go in the menu each time! I prefer pre-LCI but I haven't seen this in person either, so I might change my mind. Otherwise, this car is the M5 to date!!!

Just seen this retro fitted and looks like the wiring, coding and hardware only. Units are around Ł800 plus Ł200 for fitting ive been told. I will know more in a few days but its possible yes!!

What is the advantage to having the 8HP76, as I assume my 18' has the 75, faster shifts ? more TQ hold ?, thanks.
It's a updated transmission, practical difference is visible on carwow video M5(75) vs M8(76)

Yes, difference shouldn't be so much, but Joe Achilles sucks big time at driving.
More realistic pic would be 3 length of the car.
Bmw is constantly updating their technology, that's how we see EOP cars are faster than SOP, also better looking.

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!
Wish the US would finally amend their outdated regulations...
Good news (to some). That rule change will occur in October.
