Hi Buddy,
Could i ask who did your wheel retrim ?, was it Jack at Royal ?. Going to get mine done. Went into my dealers to ask about the CS steeringwheel, but there was some confusion about a small wiring loom on the CS wheel, which we didnt resolve, and he then quoted me on the M Performance wheel, £1200, no thanks. The trim does look good on your wheel, and i did have the same thought of getting the standard trim done in gloss black. Probably get some new paddles too, whilst the wheel is off .

It was Royal. This is the third wheel I’ve had retrimmed by them and every job has been spot on.

The CS wheel is the same as the standard wheel other than the design. It would be an unnecessarily expensive option to buy the whole wheel. Also it’s not heated so you be giving that up if you have the option. M Performance wheel is also not heated.

This looks great. I have the CF option and same paddle shifters and if i knew this was an option, i would have done it. I do really like the CF parts but they are expensive for what they are. Enjoy, oh and does the steering wheel still feel warm when you have the heating on?

It does. It takes a bit longer to heat up though as the when they re-trim a heated wheel, they generally wrap the alcantara around the existing leather.

I love that! I have wanted to do something similar to this ever since I saw the CS steering wheel.

If you didn't like the cf on the steering wheel I'm curious why you paid for the CS cf paddles vice getting gloss black ones to match. Either way I love the new paddles. Insanely over priced once I got my hands on a set. Don't even look like real CF to me which I was disappointed in.

They're alright but I'm probably going to get rid of them and fit a set of paddleshifterz in their place.

That looks great! Any tips on how to remove the airbag? I've searched all over for videos or instructions and have struck out.

Easier said than done that's for sure. It can be super hard to find the right angle with the screwdriver. Also you should disconnect the battery before attempting.

As mentioned above it can be a bit awkward to find the right angle to hit the spring clip on each side but once you know what you’re loking for it’s easy enough. You just need to poke around till you feel the pressure of the spring.

This looks so much more put together than all that silver they throw in stock! Makes it look like an afterthought.

Was quite disappointed in the G80/CS paddles when I got mine. Not worth the $800 MSRP by any means. Was even hoping the red backing would be more rubber like with a better tactile feel. Instead I find them simply as red plastic. Oh well.
Still 100% better than what they come standard with. Which are the same damn paddles as my X5. I mean cmon.

Im doing exactly the same thing with mine. I fitted some Evolve paddles this last week, and have also ordered the CS Centre trim too. I really, really struggled with the small blue electrical connectors that connect the paddles to the wiring loom, how hard are they to pull apart !!, i never managed to get them apart, but instead managed to just pull the old paddles out far enough, to fit the new ones. Im going to take the whole wheel off, when i fit the CS trim this time, but those blue electrical connectors are giving me nightmares .
