Temperature is rising inside the room. Entropy of the brains.

It's about time for BMW to release an M2 teaser.

The only thing I like about Audis are their interiors...I wish they made furniture so I could buy some
I'm still shocked he looks like Tony Stark.

So if the M2 costs 54k EUR in Germany it should cost around 48k USD in the US.
If it's even $1 under $50k I will be surprised, any rushing to the dealership.

For me it's all about price, I can get an M3 for £61k so anything over £50k for an M2 and I'm not interested, I would like an M2 but can live with an M235i if it's £10k less, or I'll just keep the M135i as it's still a great car to drive, I just can't see an M2 being worlds apart if I'm honest

Agreed, Kermit has gone underground, save for the obligatory "you must be patient" non-sense that we get every 2 weeks. I'm tired of the regular programming, it's time for some new content!

Come on, Scott26!!!!

Agreed. Not going overboard myself. Planned on upgrading a 235 with LSD and exhaust at ~$5,000. suspension upgrade is worth $2000 to me. Adding the tune, exterior/interior cosmetic upgrades is worth $3000. Too much over that...?

And yes, when are details coming!

Reviving this thread because of the recent 54K price rumor "leak".
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1150752

That rumor was already leaked three months ago by the same magazine (Auto Bild issue #15 of 10 April 2015).

Seems that the other info mentioned by Auto Bild back in the day was also close to what we know so far:
  • power output: 385hp
that could be the real life metric hp figure instead of the earlier quoted 370hp - maybe BMW surprises us with the 385hp figure at reveal ?
  • 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph): 0.2s slower than the M4
    possible
  • colors: limited to white, black and blue ("Speedblau")
add Mineral Grey and the "Speedblau" is Long Beach Blue
  • options list: more limited than ever
    makes sense
  • price: around EUR54K (Germany)
    that figure recently surfaced again
  • introduction: January 2016 - Detroit Motor Show
the Auto Bild website now mentions September 2015 - IAA (Frankfurt Auto show)

Realizing that colors can appear to be different from the original photos as they are printed and scanned, the blue in the picture looks quite different (and more appealing) than what I've seen in person as Long Beach Blue.

Also, that's a render and before it was "confirmed" to be LBB.

What was the source of the AWD speculation in the M2? It's going to make me unpopular here after only one post, but with the driving I do, xdrive would make this car a no brainer for my DD.
