Help with exterior color choice....

Greetings, I currently have 2019 M5 with Singapore Grey Metallic and Aragon Brown full leather. I am getting ready to place an order for 2022 M5C since my lease will end in few months. I am torn between Black Sapphire Metallic vs Brands Hatch Grey Metallic. I thing I decided to go with Black Midrand Beige for the interior. I look forward to hearing your thoughts! Thank you so much in advance for your input!

Congrats on your new car! I personally think that a shade of gray provides a nice contrast to the black midrand beige interior, as well as to the carbon fiber roof and to the new shadowline headlights and tail lights. Here's my bluestone metallic over black midrand beige:

Go Brands Hatch. BSM gets dirty in 27 seconds by just looking at it.

I just sold my 2020 SG with Aragon brown interior for a 2022 M5C. I was torn between brands hatch & MBB. Ended up MBB. Pictures don't do justice to it. One of the best blues in my opinion.

I like the BSM against the BMB interior.

SG and BHG are both shades of grey so maybe the BSM provides a little change.

I had a BSM F10 M5 and it looked great … I suggest PPF and paint correction as the color is difficult to maintain, as others have mentioned.

Good luck with your decision.

I think between BSM and BHG, black sapphire is the way to go. I know there's a lot of love for BHG on the forum but personally I don't find it a flattering color for a car like this. I have donington grey and I don't love it TBH, although it does stay looking clean for a long time which is nice.

If I were to order today, I'd be looking real hard at either Black sapphire, tanzanite blue, or possibly alpine white.

I think my car is BSM. The 30 seconds after I finish washing it, it looks black.

Seriously though, BSM is stunning if it's paint corrected and washed. It just shows swirls and dust like crazy. So if you are meticulous about maintaining it, there is no better color.

I just ordered a BHG 2022 to change it up a bit. Other than hard to clean, some of the contrasting bits get lost with BSM most noticeably the roof. With the cool black outlined tail lights, I think a contrasting color will look better with the LCI.

I had a Jet Black e90, and a Tanzanite F80. The JB was pointless to even wash. It was dirty before I finished. The TB was better, but only lasted a few days. Now I have MBB, which I barely touch, and it doesn't stop looking fantastic - I'm never getting another color. But that aside, I wouldn't touch another black car. Go BHG.

I went to my local dealer today to see the LCI M5 for the first time and they had a BHG M5 (non-Comp) in the showroom. It really looked great and BHG over Midrand was my second choice for the M5C that I recently ordered. I decided to go bold though with Snapper Rocks Blue over Tartufo.

You can’t go wrong no matter what you pick! It’s a beautiful car. Good luck.

Garage List
Every car I own is black, when I ordered the M5 I thought I would change it up and ordered BHG. I then switched it to BSM. Every color shows dust, I just dust the car when I drive it and all is good.
What ever you like is the best color

I thought of Henry Ford when you said every car you own is black.

Another vote for MBB, it’s one of the few colors that looks great in all lighting conditions.

BHG all the way. I love BSM but the grey is just so much deeper and nuanced.

I'll never get black. It doesn't show off the lines of the car, and it scratches if you so much as look at it the wrong way.
