2022 M5 CS Spa Day at Speed and Tech Motoring

Wanted to share my latest addition to the family.

Always grateful to have a great shop near me to keep my cars in the best shape possible.
Speed and Tech motoring installed XPEL ultimate on the full front end, rocker panels, and other high impact areas. They also took meticulous care in stage 1 paint correction and XPEL Fusion Ceramic coating on the entire car.

I'll try to update with more interior shots and pics from the outside when I can.

I think this M5 CS complements the GTS; Speed and Tech also installed full XPEL Stealth PPF & the same XPEL Fusion Ceramic coating too.

After the limited miles I've put on this, I have to say; BMW must know some sort of witchcraft to have the front end feel light while maintaining the sense of driver connection to the road. Bravo BMW M!

Can't wait to put on some miles!

I feel like its the most understated cool M car since the e46 M3 CSL, if its in brands hatch metallic. I feel like it will always look good and be more insane than the new M4 CSL and M3 CS. its definitely a keeper.

Quite different personalities, kinda like Dr. Jekyll and and Mr. Hyde, one is surgical and the other is just brutal. Almost like comparing an old locomotive train vs a highspeed bullet train; both stick on rails with amazing mechanical grip.
What the two share from what I can tell is the enjoyable weight transfer you experience while turning; almost go-kart like; both feel more and more planted as you accelerate out of a corner.

I'd keep it, the sarcasm is funny.

On a side note, i've finally figured out why they did the fixed center console. They had to make a thinner arm rest to correspond to the buckets so your arm wasn't too unnaturally high, and the M5 competition arm rest folded middle-in and was very padded. It would have required a new hinge to be developed entirely and they probably just decided to fix it instead. Had nothing to do with weight savings.

Some updated shots from today. Finally had a chance to let it sit out in the sun and allow the PPF to cure

Not at all. I previously mentioned to him just to be aware, but he didn't run into any problems at all. I was lucky

The contours are different than a standard 5 series/M5 hood. My guy had some difficulty.
