Figured since I asked a few questions here and there on the forum, I best share pics of my newest delivery.

2024 M40i, Phytonic, Mocha leather, Carbon trim, 20" wheels-Perf RFT, HK, trailer hitch, premium, parking, extended shadow line packages.

This is my second X3 in 18 months. Thought I should just pull the trigger and move up from the 30i. As always, can't wait until break-in period is completed!

My 2018 is jealous of that instrument cluster. Do you get that map view even with the heads up display?

Yes, the map view is always displayed even with the heads up. I think, now I'm second guessing myself. If you're 2018 is jealous, then I'm jealous of the newest idrive, at least in the map or center display perspective. Better color scheme and will display Google Maps to the center, whereas I drive 7 does not, at least that I've found.

Haha, no, it didn't. Would be helpful if it did, the delivery area isn't brightly lit. I don't think majority of the new owners here comb over the car to a detail as I, and some of you, may do.

In my 2020, the map is there unless I have CarPlay or Android Auto nav started going. In that case, the direction cards appear where map was in the instrument cluster. Does the map stay on in the center even with a nav direction on through either CarPlay or Android Auto?

Looks amazing! I have a similar 2024 but with black 20” non-RFT wheels and a cognac interior. It’s a great car! I love all the color schemes the phyotonic blue takes on in different lightning.

Where’d you get the M-style seat inserts? Would love a pair of those to avoid dropping things between the seats.

Sadly, no. It goes to the turn by turn type display. I wish it would display Android Auto map like the I drive 9 seems to do (at least based on a new X1 I had a a rental).

Amazon. Saw someone post them here long ago and thought they'd be helpful. I like them but wish they were a little contoured to accommodate the seat cushion a bit more. But it's helped catch things for sure. Just be forewarned that it will also be a new or more obvious place to catch lint and the like.
