are the kidney grilles the same size on 2018 and 2019 models? I was looking to buy gloss black, and the BMW website says will not fit a 2018.

the answer is yes. Looks like the performance grilles aren't available for the 2018: Here is the 2018 in black grille part: https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...bC12OC1nYXM%3D

You know it's way cheaper just to buy the black surrounds from ind or autotechnic

Yes thanks, definitely go that route. I was thinking about buying the grille and side vent package , why I posed the question.

I was going to but they're really backed up when I went to order mine a couple weeks ago. Ended up getting same package from ind.

you can probably get a set of gloss black grills from china etc for cheap as hell. I bought a set for the old f10M, and held them next to a real set.. Incredible quality. Could not tell a difference.

Yes. I've had luck before. However, I sometimes think I may not get what I ordered. However, if its that cheap, take the chance I guess. Friend found an "unbelievable deal" on a paddle board. He received a plastic number 8 with a packing slip.
