Yes, and the price went up for the F90. Fully optioned F90 like my F10 now cost 320k, and that's without CP.

Wow, that's a disgrace and almost triple what we pay in US. Are Japanese cars any better, since much closer proximity, etc? What would a GTR cost you?

It might be worse in Singapore where I'm originally from. A bit sad, considering Singapore is proudly featured in two of the M5's color names.

Yes Japanese cars are taxed less, and also electric cars. A fully optioned P100D in the US is around 160k USD, my F10 M5 is probably around 130k (I have frozen paint, CP, CCB, full individual leather) but in Taiwan the M5 is more expensive than the Tesla.

A Nissan GTR black is around 230k in Taiwan.

I want to add though, strictly just taxes the cars wouldn't be this expensive (should only be 60% more expensive), the car makers and distributors takes a higher margin in Taiwan compare to the US.

Yes, cars in Singapore are even more expensive than in Taiwan.

Wow. This happened today. A full 5 weeks earlier than the dealer indicated when I placed the order. Now, will I take it or leave it when it arrives?

Totally forgot you were the OP! Thought it was Phatcat!
Do you have the option to refuse the car once it arrives, if you don't like the color?

I do have to option to refuse it. It will be here late December. I'm hoping for some year-end incentives to sweeten the deal, maybe ask for a generous trade on my 2016 M4, and hope that, IF I like the color, they'll be incented to move it off the lot before the end of the year.

Anyone have experience getting a good BMW deal at year-end?

What exactly are you suggesting sueing for?

If the OP doesn’t like the colour then the best option is looking what options are available elsewhere.

Good luck OP, hope it turns out good for you.

I thought base F90 is NTD $7,200,000 last time I check. What change?

Ha! Suing is not an option. Thanks for your good wishes. Its ONLY a car; they make lots of them!

Fully optioned like mine meant need to add options like frozen paint, full leather, CCB, B&W, and other options.

Pick those options the car will be over 10M NTD. I paid 9.2M NTD for my F10.

I placed my order back in July for a F90 with Rhodonite Silver as my color choice, never having seen the color in person, and with the request that the dealer obtain a color paint sample or inform me of a local vehicle in that color prior to the lock date when changes could not be made. Despite multiple requests since then, no paint sample. Yesterday, based on posts here suggesting that some build dates were being pushed back, I inquired about an update, and he informed me that it locked in 2 weeks ago, it was scheduled for production 4 weeks earlier than he first told me, and that changes were not permissible any longer. Only after I informed him that I was extremely annoyed by the dealership's lack of follow up and information, did he locate a M550i in Rhodonite that I could see. I found that car and was not at all impressed with the color.

Now I'm faced with a series of sub-optimal choices. I had planned to sell my M4 on my own to perhaps obtain maximum dollars for it, but if I do that now, I could be without a vehicle if I find I don't like the car color when it arrives. If I wait, like the car, and then have to trade it at the time of purchase, I'm looking at losing as much as $4-5K in the deal.

Should I negate the purchase now, wait until it's on his lot and get screwed on the trade, or ask for a better deal up front?
I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the color and will miss many things about your M4.
