Swapping out to the 50th anniversary front and rear emblems/badge replacement?

Are the regular BMW badge just held down by the pins and grommets?

Or is there 3M tape applied on it also to pry it off?

Yea the roundels just go into two grommets on the car front and back. I believe the front roundel has a rubber backing that helps it adhere but it’s not tape. Maybe they both do but my memory from changing mine out is that it was just one of them. They pry out easily with a plastic pry tool.

I changed both sides to 50 anniversary , believe or not after install front badge wiggle slightly so I attached small 4 sections ( 1/4 inch by 1/4 ) of VHB tape on four corners , problem solved.
