Did IND sell me a used/open box item as new?

I thought these came in a box, but it was wrapped in restroom paper towels. I bought these during Black Friday, looks like it's their SOP to take it out of the OEM box to ship it so they save on shipping costs with a smaller package...

I can't tell if the toilet paper 🧻is used. Does it have brown streaks on it?

All kidding aside no idea. The paper is normal. I had my painted reflectors for both cars delivered it in. Maybe they but in bulk and get it without packaging? Check with them.

Nah, same packaging I got from them on some items. It's single-ply though I think. No skid marks for me!

It would be hard to get scratched in the manufacturer's packaging though. Upon looking closer at a recent classified thread where the poster got their reflectors from IND as well — it seems his came in the original sealed packaging vs wrapped in paper.. so.. 🤷*♂️

makes me wonder and suspicious, maybe returns and they repackage it in their toilet paper and sell as new?

Seeing what other members have experienced will obviously net you some valuable information on figuring this out, but I think in addition to that, you also should reach out to them and get their side of the story. They are generally regarded as a reputable company, and many have echoed that sentiment on a thread as recently as a couple of days ago. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever and am a more than satisfied repeat customer.

Not saying things can't go wrong obviously, but see what their answer is. My $0.02.

I personally don't see an issue with the packaging. Yes, it resembles toilet paper as the OP commented on. But the product was top notch as was their customer service. They can wrap it in Kleenex for all I care 😂 repeat customer here as well and will continue to be.

I wouldn't have thought much of it but the classified post selling them unopened in original packaging says it was bought from IND. So it seems mixed delivery options maybe.

Were these ordered with the optional ceramic coating? I'd bet they removed them from the original packaging, ceramic coated them, and then wrapped them in this paper to ship.

I looked to see if that was an option and it is not.. at least not that I saw. Also just to be clear. I'm an IND fan and would order from them. Just having fun noting the differences and the speculation lol. All best clarified by OP emailing them. 😂

Those are shop towels. Thick gauged paper that will prevent them from being scratched against the brown packing paper

All small painted parts from them arrive this way and it's very appreciated. They probably package their goods better than any retail company

Can vouch, this is how all my reflector deletes have come since they are just OEM reflectors that they paint.

Those are a little different and are injected molded plastic, but the same. You could just go on alibaba and order the same thing.

Correct.

The Acexxon box is oversized so we remove them when shipping so that they can fit in a 12x4x4 box otherwise they would have to go in a 18x12x8 box. This is to keep the shipping cost down.

If you order multiple items that fit in a larger box then we will include the Acexxon retail packaging.
