Paddle Shifter Install

Do all of these require airbag removal? Is this a DIY for someone relatively handy yet scared to death of airbag deployment?

Yes, the airbag has to be removed. There are a couple of DIYs on this somewhere.

Disconnect battery, use an appropriate tool like a long thin flat screwdriver to release the airbag retainers on the steering column (two divots that will have to be penetrated).

I’ll try to dig up any pictures.

plenty of great videos on Youtube, did the trim and paddles at the same time and yes definitely disconnect the battery. also for paddles you really don't really need to disconnect it, it's easy to change

Where did you get the carbon trim pieces for the steering wheel?
