E5 Vs. E10 fuel
Hi Guys,
Can anyone offer some insight into the differences between E5 and E10 fuel which we're due to see at the pumps in September (in the UK), and specifically how this will effect the performance? Will E5 still be available for cars which cannot safely run E5? Thanks |

E5/10 is fine for our cars, most gas pumps throughout the year already mix some ethanol into the regular fuel blends. People already running E30 blends on their tuned cars so E5/E10 won't be an issue.

In the UK only standard (95 ron) fuels are legally obliged to add ethanol...current as E5 and soon to be E10 (%).
Higher octane fuels while badged as E5 (up to 5%) are not. IIRC Esso Supreme higher octane fuels have zero ethanol added. Keep using V-power, Supreme or momentum and you won't see any difference. |
