i started to like detailing.
materials: gold glass car wash, car show glaze polish, nxt gen 2.0 wax. procedure: wash, polish with orbital buffer, wax by hand. am i doing the correct procedure. thanks!

you should read the sticky threads in this forum. plenty of step by steps, but the basics are: wash with dawn to get whatevers on there off (use a sheepskin mitt and no pressure) clay bar plus some quick detailer for lube polish if it needs it (scratches, marks, swirls) some kind of sealant or wax don't miss a square inch!

Grab a Toothbrush w/o the rubber shit and tiny brushes and start cleaning the excess polish, wax and other crap outta your cracks and edges!
Can't forget the small stuff =P |

I'm no expert, but which orbital buffer are you using? Is it one of those big 10" orbital buffers from PepBoys? I bought one about 10 years ago, but I never use it anymore because I think it gave me swirl marks. If you're using NXT 2.0, just do it by hand, and make sure you're using Microfiber towels. I apply and buff NXT 2.0 by hand, and get excellent results.

6 inch random orbital from motor trend. not the PC. no swirl marks so far. i apply the wax on/off by hand. i use microfiber bonnets and towels.
