Will secondary downpipes alone make a sound difference?
Hey guys. I’m wondering if anyone has installed just secondary downpipes and if so, did it make a difference in sound.
I’m waiting until the ecus can be unlocked stateside before I do the primary downpipes. For now, I’d like to mate the secondaries with my Dinan non resonated x pipe but I’m wondering if it’s even worth it. Going for some sound here, not expecting much power without primaries and a tune. Anyone have any idea? Thanks |

Absolutely, its an easily noticeable improvement in the sound.

100% worth it, I just got my dinan x pipe connected with catless secondaries and the sound is much louder and a perfect setup.
On 40% throttle you can hear turbo whistle as if it was catless.

YES! 100% worth it I agree. I did secondary DP with custom X-PIPE and I am very happy I did it. Kinda wish I went full catless, but here in CA at least I dont have to worry about the CEL and I still have a cat on each side. DO IT!
