That's quite the list.
My "mod" so far is Tommy L Garage mudflaps, which are now available through Kies Motorsports. I also thought about floor mats since apparently the stock ones are pretty flimsy but I haven't bought anything. Might as well see what the stock ones are like ... I'm also going to get PPF on the front bumper and headlights. I have the frozen paint, so I don't want to cover that up any more than I absolutely have to. Why pay for that finish if you're just going to cover it up ... I'm hoping my dealer sends me an update on my car soon. I'm not time sensitive to its arrival - I'm actually hoping I don't get it until mid-March - but based on what some of you are saying, I might get it sooner if mine made it on a ship already. IDK. Charles

Frankly, I'm considering installing the mudflaps on my way home at a Starbucks or something. I am an hour away from my dealer. Charles

My ship is expected to hit the Panama Canal on the 10th and still scheduled to hit CA on the 19th. I was told that once at the port it could take a couple weeks before it’s actually trucked up to Washington.

I caved in after reading this thread and ordered an oil cooler guard.
https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2077651 I got the Zunsport one ...it seems like a sensible investment for under $200. Charles

I got an email from the dealer on Jan 30. All they said was it appears to be waiting for a boat and that waiting at the port can take a month or so. So my earlier post suggesting it was on the boat that left Bremerhaven on Jan 12 was inaccurate. Checking the shipping schedule there are only two RORO vessels leaving Germany for NZ in Feb on the 9th and 15th. I am hoping it will be on the one leaving in a few days time. If it misses the boat on Feb 15, the next vessel isn't due to make the run until Mar 22, meaning a May delivery date.

That seems odd. I just emailed a genius specific email. Not sure how they’d know what’s out of what dealership. I mean they can obviously run the vin and see what dealership ordered your car but I’d think the email wouldn’t be dealer specific

Mine hits the Panama Canal tomorrow morning. Still has a long boat ride ahead of it

I keep ordering things for this car. Fortunately, nothing very expensive.
I got the Gyeon Evo ceramic coating for $80 from Detailed Image. (Specific for matte paint.) So, I'm going to take a day off of work and do it in my driveway. I can't see spending hundreds to get this done at a detailer. https://gyeonusa.com/products/q-matte-evo I also bought some of the Gyeon wheel/tire detailing products since I heard the M3 brake dust is epic. (Honestly dreading it.) And since I spent the money for the full leather, why not spend more money and protect it a little with leather shield: https://gyeonusa.com/collections/lea...leather-shield So, all that stuff + TLG rock guards + Zunsport oil cooler guard is my plan. Charles

I've caught the bug too. Just got a quote to get a full (Suntek Ultra) PPF install and (CXG-9) carbon ceramic coating treatment done professionally (I'm not a DIY guy and the 10 year warranty on the PPF is only applicable when installed by certified professionals). It is not cheap but it's still a tiny percentage of the purchase price.
