Exclamation Driver seat back panel /cover removal??

I've scoured the internet trying to find the way to remove this particular back panel (M5 F90 driver seat back panel/cover). I can get the lower portion of the top panel off but I cannot figure out how it disconnects from the upper part. Seems like a strong bond and didn't want to pull to hard on it and break something. Does anybody have any idea?? I guess this isn't a common thing to remove.

Thank you for your help!!

Why are you taking the seat apart?

Upper backrest motor is screeching, want to see if it's something I can access without removing the entire seat. BMW says they will need the car for a week or more.

Here's a video. If anyone has any idea if this upper backrest motor screech can be fixed or the motor replaced without full seat removal please let me know what you think! I would much rather do it myself than be without my car for so long...

Also this screech only happens when its warm outside. If it's cold or morning time no noise is made. Why would that happen??

My car just started recently doing this also. Let me know if you figure out a solution as it is annoying. It only happens randomly for me though.

Hahah yeah that’s very true. Luckily I’m usually in my car alone. But a car like this shouldn’t do that that’s for sure.

I find it hard to believe nobody has the knowledge to help with this but time has run out and M5 goes to shop tomorrow. I guess the forums aren't as useful as they once used to be. Thanks anyways.

You probably looking for help with something no one here has had to address. Hopefully the shop can solve the issue for minimum cost.

My 2018 did the same thing every time bc of the easy entry. Dealer greased the track and it noise came back in a week. They had to order a new seat frame or something and that worked for a year. My noise came back about a month ago. No more warranty on car. I wish I could just turn off the function of the easy entry and leave my seat where I leave it. I only drive my car.

My seat squeaks as well from time to time, it seems to happen more when it is hot in the car, ie sitting in the sun. I have brought it to the dealer but since it is random they haven't been able to recreate it.

Ive been trying to figure this out for my X5M for over a year. If i apply anymore force i'll surely break something.

I saw a bmw document awhile back showing you need to squeeze the sides together (towards the middle) to remove but that still didn't work for me.

Did anyone figure it out yet?

Hello. I have the same problem. First, the BMW dealer disassembled the seat and lubricated the mechanisms. A few days later the creaking returned. Now we have ordered the seat frame. new. they will rearrange the casing on it. I'm attaching a photo. First the upper part is disassembled. then the bottom one
