Autotecknic Legitimate?

Does anyone here have experience with purchasing from Autotecknic?

They are advertising the CR racing oil cooler guard for an unbelievable $213. Regular price is $850.

The only contact method is through a online request, no telephone. Suspicious

I have bought from the real autotecknic. The oil cooler guard does not appear discounted here:

I see it now:

https://www.autotecknic.shop/product...-m5-cr-racing/

If legitimate, that is a great deal. I would buy if I did not already have the Turner set.

Man, as the saying goes, "If it seems too good to be true...."

Their prices are pretty incredible. If you do it, report back!

Sorry — I did not order direct from them. I ordered Autotecknic stuff from Emnotek and from AutoTalent. I nearly bought that CR Racing guard direct from them less than a year ago but did not. At the time they sent me an email with a “shop with us link.” I just tried that link and it was dead.

While the real AutoTeknic themseleves sucks (but at least, they are legitimate), this is not their actual website. This is a pretty common practice in ecommerce. Someone will create a domain with a purposefully confusing name, but usually the TLD (.shop in this case) won’t correspond to the actual website. They’ll use the fact that the actual seller is a known quantity and will capitalize on trying to divert traffic from the company’s legitimate website to their “knock off” website. Though this seems to be most prevalent in designer apparel and high end street wear (think Chrome Hearts, Yeezy, etc.), other nefarious actors are seizing the tactics and executing them within their own sectors.

Do not purchase from them. You’ll give them your CC info, and no product will ever ship.

You guys must fall for a lot of scams... the real AutoTecknic is a .com domain not a .shop domain

Good catch! I should have noticed since both domains are in one of my posts…. I see so many fraudulent websites advertised on Scambook that I would never buy anything advertised there. I don’t know where the OP found this one, but targeted ads are buyer beware.

Thanks for the feedback bros. I will not risk it. I just did a google search for CR Racing oil cooler guard for M5. Hoping for a legitimate deal.

I bought a blackout grille for my G05 from them, and it fell off after a couple fingers snapped off a month later. Terrible customer service and attitude, I wouldn't buy from them personally.
