What brake pads are you running?

This has been asked before but those posts seemed to be a bit dated so asking/refreshing the convo. I see pagid and endless as good options for track / Street use. Any others or what's your feedback on the two mentioned? I ran blue stuff ndx but they shutter and make ton of noise unless at the top of their heat range.

Haven’t used the ones you mentioned, but I’ve been running the isweep 1500 and love them! They aren’t made for track use but they are great for street use. Plus they are silent and have practacally no brake dust. They make a version for street/race and track as well. Search isweep and there’s a lengthy post with other members using them. Great feedback overall. Reach out to Ben r33_RGSport for more info/purchasing.

I am running the iSweep IS2000 in NYC and have been very happy with them. There has been zero noise in all conditions and less dust than stock but not no dust.

Isweep 1500! The best money I’ve spent on this car. Several months in and still amazed how clean they keep the wheels. Only squeaking is first thing in the morning if it’s really cold like below freezing. Otherwise not sure why they don’t come stock.

ISWEEP 2000 for about 2 years now. The best. Better braking performance than OEM and about 80% less brake dust

Where is the best site to purchase iSweep 2000 front brake pads? Also, does our car have front brake pad sensors and if so, do I need to purchase new sensors?

Thanks for the help.

I always recommend r33_RGSport. Ben is kind, honest, and knowledgeable. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve have no affiliation other than being an extremely satisfied customer, as are all of his customers here.

Do you have a link to RG Sport website? What you provided does not appear to be a link. Also, what about the front brake sensors?

Here you go!

Front
Rear

You can choose your compound and whether you need sensors.

But please confirm with Ben before ordering.

I’m not sure about the sensors, but Ben would know. That’s part of why I suggested him.

EDIT — Sorry r33_RGSport Ben! I didn’t see your post and didn’t mean to step on your toes.

IS1500 and IS2000 are not a track pad. I don't recommend it.

Wear sensor needed only if your low brake pad warning is on or you don't trust your installer to be able to re-use it.

I have not used Isweep, but the 1500 that most use are a ceramic pad for lower dust with street driving, which is what most M5 people are interested in. The 2000s are a street pad that can handle windy roads while still creating minimal dust, but is not a track pad. You might want the 2500 or higher for track use, but expect some dust and squeal at times. http://isweep-tuning.com/products/brakepad.html

Also read up on what the members here who track use. Some have tracked no problem on stock pads. Others are finding greater pad life but less rotor life with the Euro sport version of stock pads, which I think are similar to RS29.

I just drive on the street, at least so far, with my F90 so don’t listen to me for your track pad questions any more than you listen to the low dust ceramic pad guys. I bought the EBC blue to try on a fresh set of rotors, but have not installed them yet. From what you write, the blue are not great. Maybe I will stick with stock. Stock stops great on the street — I have braked hard from 160 mph with no fade, but that is 1 stop and there is time to cool unlike track use.

I just switched to Powerstop and I regret it. They don’t fit well, lots of clicking. I have isweep on order based on the consensus here.

I just ordered the iSweep 2000 front pads from Ben at RG Sports. I cannot wait to install them so my car no longer sounds like a 1980's school bus.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Ask Shawn Hayes what he uses and has heard about others who track their M5 using.
