I didn't do it but my local guy said it wasn't hard--there's a thread on it somewhere if you look around a bit. Or you can email Ben.

I got the 3D design CF paddles. Not sure they’re worth the price tag, but the build quality looks good. I think they may be a bit shorter than I expected them to be, we’ll see once they’re installed. Waiting for the RKP lip to arrive before I drop my car off at the shop.

Installation wise is very easy.
The hardest part was taking off the airbag.
I finally able to source out something that can a great tool to remove the airbag.
So, if you purchase the paddle from me, I will include the tool.
It took me 10 minutes to install it on Quickburn7 car during the M5 meet at the parking lot.

This is not dry carbon in the picture correct? assuming dry carbon would match the carbon trim that is in the car?

That is dry carbon with gloss finish.
Dry carbon means it is not an overlay over something.

There is no way to match F90 M5 Original Fake Carbon look dash trim.
The F90 M5 doesn't use Carbon Fiber. But, Aluminum trim with Carbon Fiber look.

i had the same concern as you, opted to go with Autotecnik from Ben for couple of reasons; design and size of the paddles, no giant product logos anywhere and lastly OEM M perf. have the same gloss finish with red indicators but are the same OEM ugly size/design so Autotecnik dry carbon was a clear winner to me.. get the proper OEM M perf. look

How stiff are the carbon paddles you posted, do they flex if you grab the top/bottom? I prefer these over 3D, got a pair of those and couldn't be more unhappy.

Thanks!!

I have a pair of those exact autotecknic dry carbon paddles in my car. It's pretty stiff (maybe a slight hint of flex), but you can definitely get it to shift if you pull at the very ends of the paddles.

These paddles are very nice (and they better be for that price tag), but I've been eyeing the MMR paddles. https://www.evolvetuning.us/mmr-perf...ing-wheel.html
While carbon is nice to look at, they feel just like a plastic material, and these MMR ones look nice and big, and the feel of them in the hand must be great.

I bought these MMR paddles and they are great! Super solid, no flex if you hit them top or bottom.
