Correct. It isn't there on the CS.

Thanks, yeah apparently it isn't there on any of the newer M5s as I was just looking at some other 2021 M5 pics and it isn't there...

Does the M5 CS have the 1200 mile break in service?

Mine is "at the port" and I have scheduled a trackday for early November, and I have to do some planning.

Yes, 1,200 mile run in service is needed. Sadly, I'm only at 765 miles so far.

Gotcha. Thanks. Looks like I will be doing some laps around my city. Don't know if she'll arrive in time. I'm on the fence about it. But this is the last event of the year for me. Too cold after that. I'll have to wait until February if she doesn't get here in time for the break in to get done.

First world problems. I need remember how privileged we are to have these.

Too cold? I thought cars perform better in cold weather.

Engines perform better. Tires and brakes are the issues.

At my local track, VIR, morning temperatures are frequently 20-30 deg. F. Hoosiers have no stick at all until the surface temps are 47 deg F, and if the track is cold it's hard then no matter how hot the tire is.

Can't wait for my green one…not until next year unfortunately. Excited to read how it drives when you've done the first service.

I'm all for PPF… usually have the cars delivered directly to my detailer (going to have mine as such) to avoid any rocks, as I've seen some pretty terrible experiences and am very OCD about my paint, with the frozen green will be even more so…

Please let us know when you start ripping it!

After about 2 months of ownership I am all the way up to 1,039 miles. lol Hoping to get to 1,200 this week and then get the car in for the run-in service next week.

As for PPF, my installer has been having a horrible time with the hood. He has done it 5 times so far and it is still going back in again to have it redone. He did another M5CS after mine that was frozen green and had zero issues, so I am kinda getting frustrated. My plan is to tell him that I've been extremely patient and that they either need to get this next try perfect or bring in someone who can.

As for the car, it brings endless smiles from everyone who rides in it. My mother-in-law wasn't thrilled with the front seats (she is 74), but we found that if we raise the seat higher it is much easier for her to get in and out.

My kids absolutely love the car. I'm probably the only M5CS with 2 booster seats in the back! lol

Hahahaha. Booster seats I love it.

I can't imagine any mother in law sitting in a seat like that and being happy.

Keep us posted. As far as the hood, wonder why it's so difficult? Maybe the matte paint is easier to deal with. Is it the bump or the vents?

Yeah, he said that all the contours on the hood are giving him the issues (especially around the vents). I guess the film stays in place better on the matte paint when being applied.

I picked up my CS at the dealer yesterday. Now, I'm loosing sleep. Went to sleep late and woke up at 0430, and all because I just want to drive this thing as much as possible. It's 5:23 on a Saturday morning, and I'm about to hit the road. First stop is a car wash. It rained yesterday while I was out and about.
