Do your homework. The C7 has been noted to get at least 29mpg on the highway (thanks to gearing and cylinder deactivation). The M4 hasn't been reviewed in detail yet, but a quasi-review by Auto Express notes that on an extended road trip, it was getting 23 mpg with fast driving and increased to 25 mpg when the tempo was taken down a notch.
