Dealer lost reserved car with Adaptive M Suspension
I was supposed to get my M4 with Adaptive M Suspension. Some other party took the car but they were able to replace the exact car without the Adaptive M Suspension.
Should this be a deal breaker? in return, they gave me the driver assistance plus package and a moon roof....... Last edited by BBMMWW333; 06-02-2015 at 09:19 PM.. |

It probably would be for me. I added the adaptive suspension to my build after sitting in a car without out it. Wouldn't go back.

I am also located in NY (Manhattan). If the M4 was not offered with Adaptive Suspension I would not have purchased one.

So it is trading adaptive suspension for driver assistance. To me, this would not be ok. Curious, though, how did they 'lose' it? Take it not a factory order....so was it just a car somewhere else that you tried to get and missed?

Either way no adaptive dampers is a complete dealbreaker to me. Unless you live in continental Western Europe or Japan who's governments are sensible enough to invest in infrastructure, you'll swear by them all the time. |

For me, a moon roof would definitely NOT be a positive concession. For the price you're paying, get the exact one you want. Good Luck. |

Dealbreaker because I would hate to look at the spot where a button should be next to my shifter stalk. I need all the buttons!

I would not take the car. You might have to wait for the one you want. But if you take the one they are offering you will regret your decision to compromise and will not enjoy your car. Not sure how I would handle this dealer, social media is awesome for getting the word out. Hopefully their short-sightedness of making a quick buck at your expense will come back to haunt them. Karma is a bitch.

Definitely would be a deal breaker for ME.
EDC is an option I would not go without. And I would NOT want a moonroof or the useless driver's assistant package.

You keep saying they are giving you the driver assistance package and moonroof, like they are doing you a favor
Hell yes this is a deal breaker. Walk on this deal and go to another dealer. Actually, scratch that. Since you are willing to pay above MSRP and you are clearly not a negotiator, just hire someone else to broker the deal for you. lol |
