2020 F90 M5 LCI Conversion in Stealth Matte PPF

2 months ago I traded in my 2020 M550i for this beautiful Donington Grey 2020 F90 M5 with 8k miles. I immediately had Igor_M5 and my guys at M Port in Coney Island Brooklyn do an LCI conversion using all oem parts. Then I had a full stealth matte ppf done by Oneighty including all trims and carbon parts. I also had it fully Ceramic Coated by Nicks Professional Touch.

Overall I'm 100% happy with the look and performance of the car. Its much easier to clean and the stealth ppf really highlights the lines and curves of the car that you would not normally notice with the original paint. Alex@ONEighty /Oneighty did a GREAT JOB on the installation. Igor_M5 helped out a lot sourcing parts and with majority of the other installations.

nice. which mirror caps did you use? the price spread is nuts out there, from $300 for a rando set to >1K for a set from IND...

JRZ Coilovers from Auto Couture. I’ve always used KW Coils on all of my BMW’s, I was surprised with the ride quality on the JRZ’s. I’ve had people in my car that thought I was on stock suspension. Very comfortable.

Stance looks great! I’m on KW V4’s and agree coils are next level mix of performance, looks and comfort.

I wonder what the conversion to LCI like this runs. It’s got to be a pretty penny. Wondering if it makes sense to just go get an LCI instead of going through this if possible. If it’s not so pricey they did an unbelievable job it looks perfect and I’d think it came straight from the factory.

I paid more for the ppf & all the carbon parts than I did for the conversion lol. I enjoy doing this, I’ve been doing conversion on all of my cars this is just the first time that I’m actually posting it.

Very nice. I’m contemplating JRZ or KW V4. Need to do coilovers to dial in that compression and rebound damping just right - this is after having H&R M550i springs, and now on KW HAS kit.

Question regarding installing stealth ppf on a used car: Obviously it will protect against future damage, but what about current imperfections? Does it somewhat coverup existing small scratches, swirls, chips etc?

If you’re car has very visible imperfections or lots of rock chips I would recommend getting a touch up and paint correction first. Those imperfections will be visible through the ppf. Some people say you shouldn’t apply ppf if the car was repainted because of the risk of peeling the paint, but my bumper was painted and I had no issues.
