Should I really pop the hood when parking at night?
This guy says "pop the hood when you park for the night. The hot vee turbo makes a lot of heat, with the hood open it escapes quicker and won’t cook the top end of the engine so much"
Is there any truth to this advice? |

Probably if you took off the plastic engine cover, the upper metal engine shield, the stock heat blanket, and the lower metal engine shield.

I removed the hood to keep it cooler and put ice on it when I park.

Yes I put dry ice on mine every time I stop ...
 Ya but no - not even when tracking do I bother with that - the fans stay on anyway, which is good enough in IMHO |
