Also checked out an X6M Comp a few days ago as it was just sitting at a local dealership ready to go. Sister dealership wanted $6k ADM and wouldn't budge despite me purchasing several cars from their other brands. Also would not give me $1 worth of trade equity on my existing M5, which numerous other dealers gave me 12.5k for. They are simply not interested in doing any deals. Probably for the best as there is no comparison to the M5, and even if the numbers made sense, it would have been a mistake. A lot of power for something of that size, but damn is it unwieldy, not mention lacks anything resembling exhaust sound with the stock exhaust.

Probably another M car but not sure which one as I love them all. I don't necessarily need a 4 door so I may go with an m4, m2, hell I was looking at a beautiful M8 the other day. On the other side of things, I LOVE the new Z06 and I've owned one before. I'd love to have one but it remains to be seen what they will go for on the open market and how hard they will be to get ahold of. Heck I may just get a newer M5. Can't go wrong there can we?

Not sure I really need anything else. I’m looking at full retirement in about 7 years and all my cars will be paid off. I’ll have the performance when the M5 comes in, we already have a 2022 X7 and a 2021 Ram 3500 Longhorn dually. IF I were to get something else it would either be an old restomod muscle car or a convertible sports car like a Z4 or Ferrari or R8 as a weekend driver. Depending on how the ownership experience goes for the next 3-5 years, I may end up keeping the M5 forever. Famous last words right?

I want a 9 second car so my 2 options are:
1. Sell/trade M5 for 992 Turbo S. 2. Keep my current 2019 M5, send it to Texas and have RK Autowerks do the stage 3 built forged motor and upgrade turbos in order to push 1000+ hp. I wanted to upgrade to LCI but AFAIK the ECU cannot yet be unlocked to tune. Currently on Stage 2 93 octane tune. Last edited by cream; 07-06-2022 at 07:20 PM.. |

LCI if I can get one. Would like to try and build a '23 but probably look for a 21 if this chip shortage keeps removing features.

Since the car market is slowly coming down, I'm selling the car now to avoid more inevitable depreciation. I'm on the hunt for a 991.2 GT3 RS, 458, or a new Huracan (need to experience one before the V10 is gone). Leaning towards the RS atm.

I wanted to buy a Taycan GTS ST. But ended up buying an F90 M5 (due to lack supply of Taycan GTS STs and me wanting to see how the Taycan ages as I intend to keep it longer term). But now I have cooled off the electric cars. I really like the performance of electric cars and idea of not needing to visit gas pumps, but I think battery technology has just began, there will be rapid improvements, at least I hope so. So now I am thinking I would get a 911 Turbo S. But I will see what options I have in a couple of years. I love my M5. So if I have garage space and don't need the money I'd want to keep it.

I've got the first allocation for the '24 M5 Touring (if it makes it to the US). So that will be perfect timing.
Crossing my fingers that it happens.

I have to wait and see what the new M5 in 2024 looks like. If it is heavier, wider, and longer than the F90 M5 I will pass.

My next car was going to be a Cadillac CT5V Blackwing with all the carbon fiber options but they're about a year backed ordered and dealerships want way too much for the ones they have on stock. After GM increased the MY23 price by $7,500 I lost interest and now I am waiting on a 23 M5C

Moving on to a Porsche Cayenne GTS- freeze date 12/6 and supposed to be here in April- my current lease ends in June.
Wanted to stick with BMW as my service dept is exceptional but do not want another M5- prefer SUV and do not like the current X5 and LCI info not out yet. |

I would personally want to keep my M5C and add a GT3 but because money is an object there is nothing I would rather daily that makes it easy with kids as much as the M5C for now. Ive considered the AMG GT63 e performance but those prices right now are astronomical in comparison and it doesn't make sense to me even though I do think it is a gorgeous car. A 911 turbo S would be another choice but to daily that and throw my 2 year old in the back from daycare every day seems a little wild haha
My Ideal dream garage in 3 years would be either my F90 or a new G90 M5 (we'll see how well it compares I have high hopes) and a 992 GT3. |
