Coming from G80 To F90 LCI

Hey everyone! I just recently got a 2023 M5 Comp in tanzanite on silverstone full carbon roof, with bowers. I was wondering if there’s any must do’s and anything I should know to keep this car running great any maintenance I should be expecting. I used to take my M3 in every 5k miles for oil changes. I’m toying with the idea of racechip but I don’t want to have any problems. For now I just mainly wanna do cosmetic things!

Wheel spacers 15mm front, 12mm rear. Lower it with KW HAS or similar.

Michelin tires if you unfortunately got stuck with Pirellis.

Racechip definitely wakes it up and noticeable especially on the top end. Ive had racechip in my 2019 for 40K miles and hasn't had any issues, however I take it out when I get service. I also fill my tank with 95 octane just to be safe.

It's plug and play not a lot of things to go wrong with it if you follow the instructions how to install. and you can be more or less aggressive with the 6-7 diff maps they offer. I just put on most aggressive and leave it.

congrats, youll like it.

Give a quick snap shot of what you think of it over the G80? We have threads about every 3-4 days of someone asking about F90 vs M550i, or F90 vs G80.

Congrats OP and welcome to the family!

Enjoy it in good health.

+1 on RaceChip, especially from r33_RGSport. ~45k miles of combined service over two F90s, no problems whatsoever.

Hey! I appreciate the feedback! So I’ve had two G80 M3s both xDrive both tanzanite on silverstone first one was a 22 and I put 21k miles on it in a year, then 17k on a 23. The G80 is a great platform, I had racechip on my G80 and it made it decently quick but I had some issues with it that kind of shyed me away with doing it again. I’ve driven F90s in the past and I love them. I needed bowers and Wilkins which I got and surprisingly I got a carbon roof car. The M3 I out a single midpipe from valvetronic on it was a great car but I just wanted something a little smoother and the exhaust of the F90 is nuts even for factory! However it’s great!
