Yea, being 200LBS doesn't help. Let's see how many people we can get, and I'll propose it to AutoTecknic.

Ok, I'm working on it. I'll update once I have something.

Yeah, I'm interested. I ordered my '20 with Aragon Brown and Dark Aluminum. Dealer f'd up and ordered it with light aluminum. They were going to replace it, but after they found out what it would involve, we talked about it and mutually decided to just leave it alone. Didn't want to risk rattles and any other problems that might arise from replacing all those panels. We found a another way to make it up to me... free M Performance Carbon Pro Spoiler installed.
So, I thought maybe I'd just get used to the light aluminum trim. I've learned to live with it, but still don't like it. So this is an old revived thread, talking about model year '18 F90. I assume nothing has changed and it would fit my'20? As pankM5, I would like to hear from anyone who has done it.

I sent Autotecknic a message last week but haven't got a reply. Anyone have any info about this company or this product that isn't a year old?

I have the gray weave interior trim in my M5.....I cannot for the life of me understand why BMW put such Corolla-cheap shit in these cars for the interior trim. It looks those pieces cost them literally $15 to make. Every other M I have owned has had the gloss black carbon fiber.

Based on my research, it is because the iDrive controller on each car are not always the same. They can be about 1-2mm off. So, AutoTecknic fixed the jig based on my car, and it was off on the next car. Fixed it again, it was still off on another car. But, I had it in my car for 2 years and it held up very good since it is a real carbon fiber. Took it off before I return the car last year. Unfortunately, I don't have picture.
