BMW FS credit approval extension past 60 days.

Question for the group. Ordered a new M5C in mid December with expected East Coast delivery towards end of February. I noticed that the credit approval at time of order was valid for 60 days only. If delivery is past the 60 day time frame, has anyone had any luck with dealer getting BMW FS to extend the original approval or does BMW FS need to run a new approval?? Not worried about approval, I just don’t want the second hard pull on my credit report. This is a lease deal and I am based on the east coast. Any input from experience would be appreciated.

I have the exact same timelines and location (MA) and the dealer told me they won't be pulling my credit again. This is however what the dealer told me and I cannot guarantee obviously

I ordered in September and received the car today. They did not run my credit again.

For sure it's killing me! 😅 Like a kid at Christmas patiently waiting! Congrats on your car hope it arrives sooner rather than later! Based on everyone's comments I think you should be good with the credit pull but I'd let the dealer know you don't want it pulled again just to be sure.

In my case, I exceeded 60 days and they ran my credit a second time.

BMW extended the credit lock program in December to 90 days from the end of the month that you locked in/ordered you should be fine!

Wouldn't be surprised if we are on the same ship coming over as my timeline matches yours exactly! Exciting times! 😊

That would be cool. I have been driving the x3m40i for 2 years which I love. It is a great car........but I am so excited to get my first “true” M car. Cannot wait to drive it every day.

I'm currently in a range roger velar which I've had for 3 years and it's been fantastic to be honest, flawless for 36 months, no issues. I am also joining the true M club for the first time and cannot wait!

There is a ship departing Bremerhaven on Jan 19. Arrives in NY around Feb 7. I hope we are on that one.

Something may be wrong with the tracking system on myBMW. My vehicle still says production begins since January 13, 2021. I called the genius and was told car will complete production January 25. So why is it not moving through the different assembly points in the tracking system? Maybe I should call the genius line back.

I think so 😁 I also transitioned to "in transit" today so assuming I am. Where do I get clarification on that? Call the dealer?

Did they give you an ETA to east coast?

Best bet is to call your client advisor. They will have all of the most current shipping info. My car is expected to arrive at port in NJ around Feb 8. Hopefully a few days after that it would be delivered to dealer.

Call BMW at (800) 831-1117

Follow prompts to production status. Choose option to speak to representative and they will give you all the info they have.

They are the best contact up to the time the transport leaves the VPC with your car.
