The E63S and RS6 Avant are really good contenders.
I assure you, if you're in the US, the recall/stop sale will be figured out long before you see a rs6 unless you want to pay a significant markup.

If you want to see a botched launch and lack of information, take a look at the Audizine board for the rs6.

A quick search on cars.com and I see some Avants on there. Some have like a $30k markup tho. That's crazy!

let's put together a list with our production #'s and threaten cancel the car at the same time. Just maybe they will flinch. My friend works at BMW corp dealership maybe he can help with some intel or get me a name to contact.

Something seems to have been sorted out would be my guess. I was supposed to pick up the car at the performance center on the 11th and was told it was not going to happen because of the stop sale. I received an email from them today telling me that I will be able to pick up my car as soon as the 1st. Their exact words in the email "We are happy to report that the Stop Sale should be completed soon".

Thanks for sharing.

I'll join the "party". My F90 just reached Port of Baltimore early this morning. Also noticed the port is only 20 minutes from my dealer.

Optimistic for a timely resolution to this stop sale. Best to everyone else.

Bruza, The line of cars at the Port in Baltimore ahead of yours is 3 weeks long and all now now at the VPC.
Good luck at your 20 minutes from your dealer LOL

Well... To no one's surprise, "tomorrow morning" has come and gone with no phone call from the "Executive Customer Care team".

I wonder why the dealers don't get it at the same time.

Either way.... good news!

Probably bc any change comes with a need for tech support. So staging it out gives them the capacity to provide that support timely.

After another "polite" message to BMWNA on twitter, I got my phone call.

The person I spoke with is from the Executive Customer Care team, call came up on my phone as "BMW of Akron".

Very nice. Not much detail other than "a fix is close". She is reaching out to some internal people/departments and my dealer to get more information. Says I will have a call back from her later today or at the latest tomorrow with some detailed information.

I politely expressed my frustration and left it at that. Will see what she comes back with.

I just heard from the salesman at my dealer. He showed me a screen shot of an email from BMW to their service department today that says the repair for the "obd compliance issue" will be "programming version 20-11-533 and should be available to dealers on 11/23. "
