There is nothing to do with that ?

I really wanna order it
But I’m waiting for some solid info
And see if the minor problems solved...
Some video and competition will be great to

Keep in mind that is from a DJ so the load and accel rate isn’t close to reality which can “confuse “ the DME slightly. But you can analyze trends.

If it were me, the first question I'd be asking is how this impacts the car when the Particulate Filters reach capacity and it goes into an extra-lean fuel trim for the regen cycle before worrying about the other glaring issues shown from the dyno plots.

The other question is drive ability... I installed the JB4 on my car and the performance is great. The main issue I have noticed is it seems to pull way harder at 3/4 throttle compared to WOT and that is not always consistent. I know Terry is keeping an eye on things and will update as needed.

That is throttle closure. Happened on my 2017 ZO6 also. These new torque modeling/airflow modeling DME's are looking at different predictive parameters. You can fool the TMap, increase the boost, then the throttle starts closing to reach a predicted torque output parameter.

Wonder if that is something that can be fixed... If not then the JB4 won't be a very good option simply due to the inconsistency

Very good question. If you look at the JB4 dynosheet posted, the higher rpm, higher boost, curves downward to approach the factory HP (throttle closure). The AFR is troubling as well at 15:1 at wot. My other cars would last one pass at that AFR. But it was on a DJ, so the AFR will be wonky.

Kudos to JB4 for supplying info.

Vivid, TDI, Manhart, etc need to supply extensive data on HP/TQ curves, AFR, throttle position, etc, etc before I would ever consider installing one. Stock power is pretty impressive.

Plus, the valid point lemetier just posted. Hopefully, that is a non US issue.

You'll get more tuning specific advise and support if you post on
their forum. Still early days for the JB4 maps, but seems like a
general misunderstanding on the throttle mapping here. Power is
controlled via the valve lift. Throttle is used to regulate boost to
target with a huge throttle blade on each side of the engine.
Depending on the engine speed the car will make full power at 40-80%
throttle position since it's not a flow restriction.

Whatever you're feeling in terms of inconsistency just post some logs
of it for them and they can get it sorted in the mapping.

And for those who didn't hear they recently ran 10.6@132mph!

You do know that that forum is their own forum, right? Own and moderated by BMS owner and personnel.

Any updates here from folks running JB4? I'm putting together a build for a (hopefully) February allocation.

Wondering if I can pull the JB4 from my F80 and tap it into the S63, or if I would need to upgrade, but will do some searching on the N54 forums anyways...

Hope everyone is staying healthy and obeying speed limits!
