I use my sunroof every day I can. I don’t think I can daily drive another car without one. The sunroof on the M5 is nice and large and so far no rattles or wind noise that I can tell.

I'm dealing with the same decision... CF or Moonroof...

In my X6M, I open to the roof fairly regularly.
In my i8, I can't seem to get it to open... oh, wait, no moonroof option... I guess I don't miss it if I know it isn't there. But if it is there, I use it.

I haven't pulled the F90 trigger yet... still not sure which way I'll lean...

(this post brought to you by "pointless mind wanderings". Thank you for reading. sorry to have wasted those 37 seconds of your life.)

I own no garage queens. If it's in my driveway, it's been ridden hard and put away wet. ...and now, with a light crust of Maine road salt.

Same here. When I get a rental car with no sunroof it is a disappointment. I wouldn’t want a DD without one.

My last two Bimmers (540i / 550i) each had the moonroof and I never really used them. During hot days, which most are in central FL, I would set it to vent from the rear and not letting it slide back (just push and hold the button mode of operation). They “seemed” to let some of the got air escape; but it was far from perfect. On occasion the damn thing would lose it programming and I’d have to do a “reset” procedure on the sliding mechanism (sometimes it took several resets to get it just right).

I like the carbon roof as it’s a non-maintenance item and I don’t have to mess with it anymore. Plus, I just set a schedule to start ventilation from the BMW Connected app before I decide to drive of.

And being 6’3”, it certainly feels like there’s more head room available.

Wish I had the CF roof, but couldn't pass up the deal I got on the left over 19 comp pack.

The primary purpose of a CF roof is to lower the center of gravity and improve vehicle dynamics; it’s one of the tricks they used to achieve slightly less weight vs. F10 despite carrying extra 150+ lbs of AWD drivetrain.

A wrap is only going to add weight and make it look cheap. Perhaps you can install the OEM CFRP roof by deleting the whole roof?
