What goes here? (pic)

This is a picture of the driver side front fender area. What you see on the right is the door.

There is a screw lower down, as well as a post up at the top of the picture. What goes in both of these spots??

It looks like the fender because that body part in front is a door. you can tell by the screw and the wire protection rubber.

I vote for a flux capacitor.

On a serious note let us know what part of a car are we looking at?

that would make sense cos the top one looks like the post part of an older door latch mechanism

This is the driver fender with the fender off. The rubber you are seeing is the loom for the door electronics.

If I were to guess, I would say they are the mounting posts for the windshield washer tank if you were to have a RHD car. I bet both sides of the car have them and then depending on if its LHD or RHD they will install it that way.

The upper looks a hanger for a rubber or urethane bushing, and the lower is obviously for a nut.

I assume these are used to support the car while on the assembly line. Just a guess.

That's a good guess. OP should remove the passenger side fender
